Data protection is a matter of trust. Your trust is important to us. We respect your privacy. The
protection and the collection, processing and use of your personal data in compliance with the
law is therefore of great concern to us. We adhere strictly to legal regulations when processing
you about our collection and use of data.
Purpose and Scope of Data Processing
1. Anonymous Data Collection
You may visit our website without disclosing personal information. We will merely save socalled
“server log files,” access data without personal references, e.g., the name of your Internet
service provider, your Internet browser, the page from which you are visiting us, the time
and date of your access or the name of the requested file. This data will only be used to improve
our offer and cannot be traced back to you.
This anonymous data is saved separately from any personal data you may provide and therefore
cannot be used for personal identification. This data is assessed for statistical purposes to
optimize our Internet presence and our offers. The legal basis for the temporary saving of this
data and of the “server log files” is Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Log files are saved to ensure the website’s functionality. This data is deleted when it is no longer
required for achieving the aims for which it was collected. For data collected for website delivery
purposes, this will apply when the respective session ends.
2. Collection and Processing Personal Data
Use of a service provided by our company through our website may require the processing of
personal data. If there is no legal basis for the processing of personal data, we will obtain the
data subject’s consent. This will be displayed where required, e.g., when you register on our
website, request our newsletter or contact us through our contact form. The legal basis for processing
for which we obtain your consent is Art. 6(1) Letter a of the General Data Protection
Regulation. If the processing of personal data is required for contract fulfillment or initiation
(e.g., for the delivery of goods, the performance of such services or inquiries about our products
or services), processing will be performed on the basis of Art. 6(1) Letter b of the General
Data Protection Regulation.
We will save and use personal data transmitted by you, such as your name, company, address,
email address or telephone number, for individual communication with you in accordance with
the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the New Version of the German Federal
Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz n.F., BDSG-neu]. Please note that confidential
information should not be transmitted through the contact form.
The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an email is
Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. If we are contacted by email for the
purposes of concluding a contract, an additional legal basis for processing will be Art. 6(1) Letter
b of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Among other things, our website uses so-called “cookies” that serve to make our Internet presence
more user-friendly, effective and safe—e.g., by making it easier to navigate across our
platform. Cookies also allow us to measure the frequency with which pages are opened and
general navigation on our website. Cookies are small text files saved on your computer system.
Please note that some of these cookies will be transferred onto your computer system from our
server—usually so-called “session cookies.” “Session cookies” will be automatically deleted
from your hard disk when your browser session ends. Other cookies will remain and allow us to
recognize your computer system during your next visit (so-called permanent cookies). You may
prevent you from using every function of our website fully. When opening our website, you will

- Matomo (Formerly Piwik)
Our website uses the web analysis service Matomo on the basis of our legitimate interest
in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes in
accordance with Art. 6(1) Letter f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Matomo
data will be saved:
- Two bytes of the user’s accessing system’s IP address
- The accessed website
- The website from which the user reached the accessed website (referrer)
- The sub-pages reached from the accessed website
- The amount of time spent on the website
- The frequency of access to the website
The software is configured so that IP addresses will not be saved in their entirety and so
that 2 bytes of the IP address will be masked (e.g., 130.75.xxx.xxx). This makes it impossible
to trace the shortened IP address to the accessing computer. Anonymizing the IP address sufficiently
takes the user’s interest in the protection of their personal data into account.
Cookies will be saved on the user’s computer from where they will be transmitted to our
the settings on your Internet browser, you may disable or limit cookie transfers.
Saved cookies may be deleted at any time. This may also be done automatically. However,
disabling cookies for our website may prevent you from using every function of
our website fully.
Matomo supports the “Do Not Track” function of current web browsers. If you would
like to prevent analyses of your web behavior, we recommend activating this function
on your browser. For more information on Matomo’s privacy settings, please see: https://matomo.org/docs/privacy/.
- Inclusion of Third-Party Contents and Services
Our website may include third-party content, e.g., YouTube videos, Google Maps map
material, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This requires the providers of these
contents (hereafter referred to as “third-party providers”) to collect the user’s IP address.
Without an IP address, the contents cannot be sent to the user’s browser. An IP
address is only required for providing this content. We try to only use contents supplied
by providers who only use IP addresses to deliver their contents. We cannot, however,
influence whether third-party providers save IP addresses, e.g., for statistical purposes.
We will inform users about this to the best of our knowledge.
5. Publication of job Offers/Online Job Applications
We will collect and process your application data electronically for the application process. If
your application results in the conclusion of an employment contract, we may save the data
you transmitted in your personal file for regular organizational and administrative purposes and
in consideration of any applicable legal regulations. Under Section 26(1) Sentence 1 of the New
Version of the German Federal Data Protection Act pursuant to Art. 88(1) of the General Data
Protection Regulation, we may collect data required for the establishment of an employment
relationship. If you voluntarily disclose information about you in addition to what is required,
this will be done on the basis of your consent under Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 Letter a of the General
Data Protection Regulation. Your data may be provided to persons outside of our company for
processing or to service providers contractually bound to confidentiality and who perform partial
If your application is rejected, the data you transmitted will be automatically deleted two
months after the announcement of the rejection. However, this will not apply if longer storage
periods are required by law (e.g., for a burden of proof under the German General Act on Equal
Treatment [Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG]) or if you expressly consented to longer
storage in our applicant database.
6. Data Subject Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access data saved
regarding you, free of charge. Furthermore, you have the right to obtain information on the
processing purposes, categories of personal data being processed, recipients or categories of
recipients to whom personal data was or will be disclosed (especially regarding recipients in
third countries or at international organizations), if possible, the scheduled storage duration of
your personal data, the right to rectification, processing restriction (blocking) or erasure of this
data and to learn the source of the data. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint to
a competent supervisory authority. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at anytime.
However, withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on
consent before its withdrawal.
7. Data Portability
You have the right to receive personal data obtained directly from you. On your express request,
we will provide this data to you in a machine-readable and structured format. This will,
however, require confirmation of your identity.
8. Data Security
When using our contact form, your personal data will be transmitted to us through the Internet
via a TLS encryption. We employ technical and organizational measures to secure our website
and other systems against loss and destruction and access by, changes to or distribution of your
data by unauthorized persons.
9. Personal Data Deletion and Blocking
If it is no longer required for contract fulfillment or initiation, personal data will be deleted,
subject to storage obligations under the law and/or fiscal codes, and blocked when the purposes
for which it was collected cease to apply.
10. Contacting Us

for data processing with the user’s consent is Art. 6(1) Letter a of the General Data Protection
Regulation. The legal basis for processing data that is transmitted to us with an email is Art. 6(1)
Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. If we are contacted by email about the conclusion
