In 1836 in Bad Dürkheimer Jägerthal, Johann Baptist Leopold Cordier acquired an erstwhile saw mill, which ten years earlier had been converted into a paper mill.
For four generations the group was under the ownership of the Cordier family, lastly as part of the Robert Cordier Ltd group.
Since 1998, the Cordier Spezialpapier GmbH has brought together
many years’ experience and know-how for the production of graphic
and technical papers in the group created through the merger
of the Cordier Paper Mill, Schleipen and Illig'sche located at Bad Dürkheim and Mühltal.
In June 2006, all three Cordier Spezialpapier GmbH sites was
taken over by a consortium of investors from the USA. |
